Dressing up your Kitchen Drawers with glass drawer pulls

While you may think you have great drawers and cabinets in your kitchen, could they be better? Besides glass drawer pulls here are a few tips for sprucing them up, inside and out.
Inside
There is nothing like well-organized kitchen drawers with glass drawer pulls. It saves you time in the long run, because when you need something, you know it will be in it's place and you won't be digging around looking for it.  Even worse is when you know you put something in the front of the drawer, but through opening and closing motions, it has shifted to the back and is lost. But a drawer is a drawer is a drawer, right? Wrong. Creating your own kitchen drawer inserts is a great way to make them a more organized space.
In order to make these drawer inserts you will need:
Thin pieces of wood (1/8 inch thick). If you want to save even more time in the cutting stages, you can look for strips that are already as wide as the drawer is tall, so they'll be ready to slide right in one you cut them to the proper length.
Tools:
Pencil
Saw
Tape measure
Square

Take the drawer out of the cabinet and lay the piece of wood across it. Make marks to show where the wood would fit right to the edge of the drawers. Remember, you want a tight fit. Make sure to measure wall to wall, so the divider can be snug.  Use a square to make sure the cutting line is squared off, and then cut the wood.

You should be able to slip the piece right into the drawer and it should stand up on its own, braced between the two walls. If you want more than one divider in this direction, keep cutting them.

Next, we will cut the front to back divider. Measure the length of this piece by measuring the wood against the drawer from front to back.  Then you are going to need to insert the side-to-side dividers and mark where those dividers intersect with the front-to-back divider.

You will now need to cut a notch that is ½ the width of the board at each of those marks. These pieces will then fit together forming your divider. Make sure to cut all the notches on the same side of the middle dividing board. After they are fit together, you may want to use wood glue to make them more solid, but of you may want to disassemble the dividers down the road, you may skip this step.

Outside
Dressing up the outside of your drawers is as easy as exchanging those boring drawer handles for glass drawer pulls. Glass drawer pulls add a lot of class to the look of a piece of furniture. You also have a choice of whether you want your home to look old, and have antique, or antique-inspired glass drawer pulls or if you would prefer a newer and more modern look for you kitchen which can be accomplished with contemporary chrome and glass drawer pulls.
